One Guy Explains Why There Is A Promiscuity Double Standard

A couple of days ago, I was out with the guys and we were having a drink at a bar

We ended up going through all the usual topics guys talk about like work, sports and money.

Then we came to the topic of women and sex. Incidentally, while we were laughing away about our
various sexual adventures both good and bad, we noticed a woman walk into the bar with a "sucker" on her arm.

We called him a sucker because at least half of the people sitting around the table had slept with her at one time or another. We knew her well. She was one of the most promiscuous women we had ever met and we basically called her a whore.

Then someone asked the big question.

"Why is it that if a man has a lot of sexual partners, they are praised and considered studs whereas if a woman does the same she is looked down upon and considered a slut?"

We had an hour long debate on the matter and what interested me was what my friend (let's call him John) had to say. It was informative and funny at the same time.

This is what he said

First off one thing you have to understand is men are the ones who do the chasing. When you go to a club or party and you see a girl you like. You will have to be the one to initiate the conversation 90% of the time.

All a girl has to do is stand there and look pretty and someone will show interest.

Same thing applies to sex. A girl can get sex whenever she wants. It's just that easy. She doesn't have to go through the usual sweet talking rituals that guys have to go through in order to have sex. All a girl can do is just walk up to a guy and say in plain simple English (or whatever language of choice) and ask him to screw her brains out. 95% of the time the guy will agree. It's that easy for them!

Something like this was also featured on the show Cougar Town where the star of the show called a random number of a random guy in order to test this theory. He asked the guy if he would have sex with her and after a few seconds of "fake thinking", he said yes.

Whereas if a guy had to walk up to the girl and say the same thing, 98% of the time, he will get a slap on the face unless he is Johnny Depp or something, which is unlikely.

When it comes down it, I think the issue here is how easy either sex can find sex. Men have to go through a lot like gaining confidence, learning pick up lines and practising being smooth in front of the mirror..etc that when they have a high success rate, people can't do anything but cheer for making it that far.

For a woman finding a good screw isn't that hard at all. That is the reason they are looked down upon if they have an unusually large number of sexual partners

More was said that night, I just thought I would share this with you. It actually made think a lot.

So what are your experiences on the matter? What do you have to say?
